Zanders proudly presents… six new principals!

Utrecht (the Netherlands), 15 December 2021

Treasury and risk consulting firm Zanders has proudly appointed six new principals. As of 1 January 2022, Birgita Gjirja, Martijn de Groot, Erik Vijlbrief, Martijn Wycisk, Hendrik Pons and Koen Reijnders will join Zanders’ global leadership team. These appointments are part of Zanders’ accelerated growth strategy to become the leading treasury and risk consultancy firm globally.

Together they represent more than seventy years of experience at Zanders in the field of treasury and risk . Birgita Gjirja will focus on further growing Zanders’ UK team, scaling up the corporate treasury services in the Nordics and intensifying the collaboration with channel partner FIS.
Martijn de Groot, Erik Vijlbrief and Martijn Wycisk have been appointed to expand Zanders’ European service offering to financial institutions. Martijn de Groot will focus on all services in the field of credit risk and data analytics, Erik Vijlbrief on ALM and model risk management, while Martijn Wycisk will further develop the financial risk management services in the DACH region with the opening of a new office in Germany.

The existing advisory services of Zanders in the public sector are complemented with cloud-based treasury solutions (TREASURYnxt) and managed services for funds in the Netherlands and abroad in the EU. Hendrik Pons and Koen Reijnders will jointly implement this growth plan.

Zanders currently has over 225 specialist treasury and risk consultants globally who work from seven offices in Europe, the US and Asia. Zanders combines thought leadership with a high-quality approach and client involvement ‘from ideas to implementation’.
