As co-founder of Zanders, Rob Naber has experience in all sectors.
After studying Econometrics at Amsterdam University, Rob started his career as a management trainee at AMRO Bank, where he soon transferred to the treasury field. After a few years in the dealing room gaining necessary risk management experience, he joined Chris Zanders in 1994.
He is currently active mainly in advising the public sector and financial institutions. Within the management team, he has a distinctive role particularly due to the combination of technical finance and commercial aspects of consultancy.
In 1994, Chris Zanders and Rob Naber decide to collaborate as equal partners within the firm Zanders & Partners as treasury consultants. Judith van Paassen is also part of this Utrecht based team from the very start.
After three years, Zanders outgrows its Utrecht office and moves to Zeist. In the following years, Jaap Karelse, Bart-Jan Wittenberg and Sander van Tol bring in new expertise, increasing the work field and gradually developing higher sales.
The firm outgrows the Zeist office quickly and Zanders moves to its current Bussum office, at Brinklaan 134. Within 10 years after its foundation the company employs over 50 professionals.
In 2005, the firm decides on focusing more on international activities. Based in Brussels, Laurens Tijdhof starts developing this international market.
In 2008, Zanders opens an office in the UK, followed by a Swiss office two years later. Next to these offices, the company is active with clients in different continents.
In 2012 the company employs over 100 professionals coming from 20 different nationalities. Nearly half of the revenue is earned outside the Netherlands.
Two decades after founding the company of the same name, Chris Zanders says goodbye to the consultancy firm he saw develop year-on-year. Gerbert van Grootheest became meanwhile part of the management team.

Zanders has entered into an agreement with international investor MML Capital to support Zanders’ accelerated growth strategy. After 18 years, Zanders has outgrown its office in Bussum and moves its headquarters to the city center of Utrecht.
We feel closely involved in our direct surroundings and society as a whole.
This is why we defined a number of specific ambitions relating to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility), focusing on sustainability, personnel policy and social involvement. Own initiatives are amongst others;
Zanders has invested both capital and manpower in sustainable investment projects. Zanders was one of the initiators and founders of First Green Capital, Windline, Gael and Unser-e.
Zanders feels that continuous focus on optimizing a pleasant, sustainable working environment is simply common sense. We consume ‘green power’ only and encourage clean, smart mobility.
Various social initiatives deserve support and commitment, both in a physical and a financial form. Zanders annually donates a substantial sponsoring amount to support well-known and lesser known initiatives. Zanders employees are generally involved as a volunteer in such initiatives.
