In July, the number of transactions in the housing market in the Netherlands has increased to the level of before the crisis. The number of houses sold in July was 18.422, more than 18.221 houses sold in July 2007. In July 2012, the number of houses sold was just 7451. The highest increase was reported for the province of Flevoland, there was an increase of 44%.

The Portuguese economy grew 0.4% in the second quarter of this year. After a decline in the years 2011, 2012 and 2013 a slight increase of 0.9% was reported in 2014. This year’s growth is forecasted at 1.6%. Unemployment has decreased to 11.9% in the second quarter of this year.

After the Chinese government interfered to prevent further decline of the Shanghai index on July 8th, the index had risen 14% until Monday. Yesterday the Shanghai Composite Index lost however 6.2%. More than 600 companies saw their shares fall by 10% in value.

The 6M Euribor decreased by 1 bp to 0.04%. The 10Y Swap increased by 2 bp to 0.99%.
