The number of job openings in the United States increased significantly in April 2021. Figures from the US Department of Labor show that the number of job openings increased from 8.3 million in March to 9.3 million in April. Growth was particularly strong in the hospitality industry, with an increase of 989,000 to 1.34 million.

The economy in the eurozone contracted slightly less than previously expected in the first quarter of 2021, according to the final figures of Eurostat. Gross domestic product decreased by 0.3% on a quarterly basis in the first quarter, against a previous estimated decrease of 0.6% on a quarterly basis.

Consumer prices in China increased on a yearly basis in May 2021. According to figures from the Chinese national statistics office, prices increased with 1.3% on a yearly basis. In April, prices increased with 0.9%.

The 6M Euribor is unchanged at -0.51% compared to previous business day. The 10Y Swap decreased with 2 basis points to 0.10% compared to previous business day.
