The ongoing geopolitical tensions in the world combined with the uncertainties about the American, Greece and Chinese economies still result in increased volatility in the financial markets. In Europe, all stock markets closed at a lower level compared to the previous day.

Statistics Netherlands published today that the average daily production of the Dutch industry increased in December with 2.4% compared to previous year. The Dutch industry production is at a peak looking at a 4 year horizon.

In January 389 companies were declared bankruptcy in the Netherlands, 27 companies less compared to December. After the increasing numbers of bankruptcies in the last 4 months of 2015, the number of bankruptcies are now decreasing. Most bankruptcies were declared in the trade sector.

The 6M Euribor remained unchanged at -0.10%. The 10Y Swap decreased by 4 basis points to 0.61%.
