Consumer prices in Germany increased more in August than in the previous month. Provisional figures from the German statistics office Destatis show that the inflation rate in August amounted to 3.9% on an annual basis. In July, consumer prices increased by 3.8% on an annual basis.
Japanese industry production decreased on a monthly basis in July. Preliminary figures from Japan’s Ministry of Trade and Industry show that production decreased by 1.5% in July compared to June. On an annual basis, there was still an increase of 11.6%. The outlook is positive though. The Japanese government is expecting a monthly growth of 3.4% for August.
Economic sentiment in the eurozone decreased in August, after six months of increase. This is according to figures from the European Commission. The confidence index of the European Commission decreased from 119.0 to 117.5.
The 6M Euribor is unchanged at -0.53% compared to previous business day. The 10Y Swap decreased with 1 basis point to -0.07% compared to previous business day.
