The price of a barrel of West Texas Intermediate rose 0.2% to a settlement of $82.44. Brent oil on the other hand dropped almost one percent to about $84 a barrel.
The AEX closed with a loss yesterday, falling half a percent to 796.74 points. This is in line with the decline in stock prices worldwide, after it was announced that the Chinese economy grew below expectations by 4.9% year-on-year last quarter. While China had previously experienced growth of almost 8% in the second quarter, the Chinese economy has been hit by power shortages and uncertainty in the real estate sector driven by an increasing number of property developers on the brink of collapse.
The Netherlands has raised over 2.5 billion euros by reopening two loans. On the loan that will expire on January 28, 2022, 1.08 billion euros was raised, and the interest given on this loan is -0.71%. The Netherlands also raised 1.52 billion euros on a loan that will expire on March 30, 2022, at an interest rate of -0.66%.
The 6M Euribor decreased with 1 basis point to -0.53% compared to previous business day. The 10Y Swap increased with 3 basis points to 0.25% compared to previous business day.
