Consumer prices in China have increased in September. According to the national statistics bureau, the African swine fever which has spread in Asia, is the main driver of the price increase. The inflation of 3 percent is slightly higher than the 2.8 percent in September. Food prices have increased by 11.2 percent and the price of pork increase by 69.3 percent.
The central bank in the Netherlands (DNB) intends to intervene in the mortgage market. Dutch banks will be required to hold a floor for mortgage portfolio risk weights. According to the DNB the risks in the housing market have increased in the last years. The intervention of the DNB should assure that banks are more resilient to possible consequences of sudden price fluctuations in the housing market.
According to the European statistics bureau Eurostat, the industrial production in the eurozone has increased in August by 0.4 percent compared to that of July. Economists were expecting an increase of 0.3 percent. In July the industrial production decreased by 0.4 percent.
The 6M Euribor increased with 2 basis points to -0.36% compared to previous business day. The 10Y Swap decreased with 2 basis points to -0.04% compared to previous business day.
