The price of Brent oil has increased to USD 74 per barrel. Today, the OPEC+ will convene, the participating countries are expected to decide whether or not to increase oil production. Russia and Kazakhstan are in favour of increasing production, while Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries prefer a cautious approach, according to financial news agency Bloomberg.

Eurozone consumer prices increased in June, according to preliminary figures from Eurostat published on Wednesday. Consumer price inflation reports 1.9% on an annual basis in June. In May and April inflation was still 2.0% and 1.6% (on an annual basis) respectively. On a monthly basis, prices increased by 0.3% in June.

The number of unemployed in Germany decreased sharply in June. This was reported by the Federal Labor Office yesterday. In June, seasonally adjusted unemployment decreased by 38,000 compared to May. The unemployment rate reported 5.9% in June.
