ABN Amro reported a net profit of EUR 600 million in the second quarter of this year. EUR 350 million will be paid as a dividend to its main shareholder the Dutch State. Interest income benefited from mortgage renewals and growth in the corporate loan book.
China’s manufacturing industry decreased further in August. The Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) decreased to 47.1, a six year low. In July, the index stood at 47.8. Economists had expected a level of 48.2.
The unemployment rate in the Netherlands decreased to 6.8% in July, compared 7.3% as per July last year. In July 603,000 people are unemployed. 65.4% of the Dutch of the labour force are employed.
The 6M Euribor remained unchanged at 0.04%. The 10Y Swap decreased with 2 bp to 0.93%.
