Both the Amsterdam Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange closed at an all-tim high on Thursday. The Amsterdam AEX index rose above 710 points for the first time during the trading day, while the S&P500 index in New York broke the 4000-point barrier. Chip and technology stocks in particular were responsible for the rise.

Industrial activity in the eurozone increased sharply in March 2021. The production purchasing managers index (PMI) increased to 62.5 in March 2021 from 57.9 in February 2021, bringing the index to its highest level in 24 years, according to final figures from Markit Economics. The preliminary measurement indicated an index level of 62.4 for March 2021.

Figures from the US Department of Labor show that 719,000 Americans filed for an initial jobless claim in the week ending March 27, 2021. This is a decrease compared to the week before, when 658,000 applications were submitted. Economists had expected 675,000 new initial jobless claims.

The 6M Euribor increased with 1 basis point to -0.51% compared to previous business day. The 10Y Swap decreased with 3 basis points to 0.04% compared to previous business day.
